The destocker will offer from this Friday in its stores the summer 2023 collection of the San Marina shoemaker, liquidated last February.

The misfortune of ready-to-wear or furniture brands that close one after the other makes others happy. And among these others, there is the destocker Noz, which in the space of a few months has taken over the stocks of Camaïeu, Made.com and San Marina. The brand based in Laval (Mayenne) is preparing this Friday to offer in its stores the summer 2023 collection of the shoemaker, liquidated last February.

Success should be there again. The first San Marina stocks delivered to Noz stores in mid-April, from the latest winter collection, “sold out very quickly“, we say on the side of the company. It must be said that the destocker offers a 60% discount on the original prices of shoes, leather goods and accessories that were sold at San Marina. In total, 310,000 items have been purchased, including 90,000 which will be available from Friday in its approximately 300 stores.

Customers had already flocked to Made.com’s furniture stock, as well as Camaïeu clothing. For the latter, “there have been several arrivals and each time a real craze“, we report at Noz. On the side of the destocker, founded in 1976, one would almost be surprised by this spotlight. “We have had the same strategy for 47 years“, we explain at the European leader in destocking, acknowledging that it is “more visible at the moment due to the media coverage of companies in difficulty».

“Great Opportunities”

For the destocker, these “great opportunities– as he calls them – are a godsend. If Noz, like all the discounters (Action, la Foir’Fouille, Stokomani…) took advantage of the inflationary period to attract new customers, the brand also faced competition from second-hand sales platforms hand (Vinted, Leboncoin…). “In this universe of low prices, a company like Noz must try to distinguish itself and one of the ways to do this is to buy stocks from well-known companies, Camaïeu, San Marina or others, and offer them to customers“, explains to France Bleu Mayenne the economist Philippe Barbieux.

After having closed at least twenty stores in 2022, “a dozen will reopen this yearsays Noz. These reopeningshave no connectionwith the purchase of Camaïeu, Made.com and San Marina stocks, it is said. The arrival of San Marina stocks this Friday will not be the last. Products from the winter collection should arrive in stores next September.
