Prime Minister Naftali Bennett reached an agreement today (Monday) with political adviser Udi Reiter, according to which Bennett will pay him monetary compensation. Reiter claimed that the prime minister used his ideas during the last election campaign, without paying him for it or giving him credit. Negotiations between Bennett and Reiter have been conducted in recent months through their lawyers. Under the agreement, the amount of compensation will remain confidential.

According to a report in Walla !, in the past, Bennett’s lawyers offered various sums to Reiter, such as NIS 30,000 and more, but the consultant rejected this. Later, the contacts between the parties were renewed and today they reached an agreement. It was further reported that a settlement agreement was signed between the parties after Schreiter threatened to go to court in a lawsuit against the prime minister.

A right-wing spokesman said: “We confirm that Mr. Yehuda Reiter provided the party with advisory services as part of the 24th Knesset election campaign and we wish him continued success.”
