/ The media coordinator of the Iraqi football team, Muhammad Imad, announced on Wednesday that the professional team players had completed their arrival in Abu Dhabi.

Imad told Agency, “The players fully arrived today in Abu Dhabi to engage in the first training unit with their local colleagues in preparation for the friendly match with the South Korean national team, on Saturday, January 6.”

He added, “The names that arrived in succession are (Youssef Al-Amin, Osama Rashid, Danilo Al-Saeed, Alain Mohiuddin, France Boutros, Zidane Iqbal, Montazer Al-Majed, Mirjas Dusky, Amir Al-Ammari, Rebin Sulaqa, and Ali Al-Hammadi).”

Imad confirmed that the team’s training will begin today, Wednesday, while next Saturday the team will face its South Korean counterpart before traveling to Qatar to participate in the Asian Football Cup finals.

In the last moments before the team headed to the Emirates, the coach of the Iraqi national football team, Jesus Casas, summoned Akam Hashem, the Erbil club player, as a replacement for Amjad Atwan after the latter was injured in the Iraqi professional league matches.
