After families spend hundreds of dollars on their purchase, the antigen tests will be distributed free of charge

by time news

After many families in Israel spent hundreds of shekels on buying kits, it was agreed that 30 million antigen tests would be distributed free to citizens. The outline is based on maximizing the ability of ‘delivery agents’, who will be entrusted with conveying assessments to the citizens of Israel, so that the distribution will be made as quickly as possible and with a high level of reliability.

Distribution of assessments is expected to begin over the next week, depending on the logistical preparation. An exact date will be provided later.

The education system (ages 0-18) – 6 kits per student will be distributed for two weeks in the first beat, the possibility of a second beat will be examined later. The distribution will be made by the Ministries of Health and Education, and the local authorities.

Geriatric hospitals and nursing homes – 2.5 million tests will be transferred to institutions, and these will be distributed autonomously by them between the treating staff and the treated population, in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Health. The distribution will be made by the Ministry of Health.

Populations cared for by welfare services:

About 450,000 welfare-supported families – each family will receive a kit that includes 20 tests.

About 25,000 elderly people treated in exemplary clubs and day centers – the above will receive 3 test kits per week, for three weeks (a total of 9 kits per person).

The distribution will be made by the Ministry of Welfare, the Home Front Command and the local authorities.

Approximately 350,000 students – the number of tests per student and the method of distribution (the Council for Higher Education / Educational Institutions / Student Associations) are currently being examined.

Essential enterprises – If necessary, the National Emergency Authority (RAHL) in the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of Economy and Industry will examine the criteria and formulate a recommendation for an adapted distribution outline.
