New Delhi: Female wrestler Vinesh Phogat, who unfortunately missed the medal in the Paris Olympics, has returned to India. Vinesh was given a grand welcome on reaching the airport. During this, she became emotional. Vinesh had also appealed to CAS for the medal, but it was rejected. After this disappointment, Vinesh announced to quit wrestling. Before reaching India, Vinesh shared a long note on social media, in which she told about her life journey. She told how her journey was from a girl from a small village to becoming a wrestler. She also thanked those who helped her.
In her note, Vinesh talked about her father who was a bus driver and who passed away. Her mother developed cancer after her father’s death. Vinesh said that her father dreamed that his daughter would fly in an airplane one day and they would drive a bus on the road below. But her mother’s only dream was that her children should live a good life.

Father’s dream remained unfulfilled- Vinesh
Vinesh said, after the death of her father, her dream remained unfulfilled. Her mother got cancer and she and her siblings had to take care of their mother. During this time, her dream was left behind and she had to fight the battle of life. She said, ‘This battle taught her a lot and her mother’s courage made her strong.’ She said that her husband Somveer always supported her.

She said that she met many good and bad people in her journey. She thanked those who helped her, especially the doctors, coaches, physiotherapists and nutritionists. Finally, Vinesh said that she had gained weight while preparing for the Olympic final, but her team did not give up. She said that time and luck were not with her.
