Jaipur: After the change of power in Rajasthan, Vaibhav Gehlot, son of former Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, had to resign from the post of President of Rajasthan Cricket Association. Recently, a no-confidence motion was going to be presented against Vaibhav Gehlot. As soon as Vaibhav Gehlot came to know about this, he submitted his resignation. Now Dhananjay Singh, son of Gajendra Singh Khinvsar, cabinet minister of Bhajanlal government, is going to become the new president of Rajasthan Cricket Association. AGM (Annual General Meeting) has been called at RCA on Saturday 9 March. The decision regarding the new president will be taken in this meeting.

RCA Secretary called General Body meeting

On behalf of Rajasthan Cricket Association (RCA) Secretary Bhavani Singh Samota, he has written a letter to all the district cricket associations of the state informing them about the meeting of the General Body. The current executive meeting has been called on March 9 at 1 pm. During this meeting, a proposal will be brought by RCA to make him the acting president of RCA. Later, after the consent of all the district secretaries, this proposal will be sent to the state government. The government will also be requested that the IPL matches to be held in the coming days should be conducted under the supervision of RCA.

Dhananjay Singh set to become RCA president

According to the information, Dhananjay Singh, son of Cabinet Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, is certain to become the RCA President. In this regard, a consensus has been reached with the present executive officials and secretaries of many district associations. A proposal to make Dhananjay Singh the acting president will be prepared in the ADM to be held on March 9. After written consent the proposal will be sent to the state government. It is being told that Dhananjay’s name has been brought forward only after consensus was reached at the government level.

Sports Council evicted RCA on 22 February

The MOU between Rajasthan Cricket Association and Sports Council had expired on 22 February. On the same day, the Sports Council evicted RCA from the Sawai Mansingh Stadium. The RCA office located in the stadium premises was sealed. After this, 33 district cricket associations of the state started preparations to bring a no-confidence motion against RCA President Vaibhav Gehlot. As soon as Vaibhav Gehlot got wind of this, he resigned from his post.
