/ Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir criticized the International Court of Justice on Friday for issuing a series of interim measures against Israel, describing the international body as “anti-Semitic.”

“The decision of the anti-Semitic court in The Hague proves what was already known: This court does not seek justice, but rather the persecution of the Jewish people,” Ben-Gvir said.

“They were silent during the Holocaust and today they continue their hypocrisy and take another step forward,” he added.

The International Court of Justice, the United Nations’ highest court, on Friday ordered Israel to take measures to prevent and punish direct incitement to genocide in its war in the Gaza Strip.

The court said, “The State of Israel… must take all measures within its power to prevent the commission of all acts within the scope of Article II of the Genocide Convention.”

A large majority of the 17-judge panel of the International Court of Justice voted in favour of urgent measures covering most of what South Africa had requested except for an order to halt Israeli military action in Gaza.
