JAKARTA – President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) has met the General Chair of the Golkar Party DPP, Airlangga Hartarto at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Saturday (21/10/2023) afternoon. After the meeting, Jokowi immediately flew to East Java (Jatim).
In the photo received by MNC Portal, Jokowi arrived in Surabaya with the First Lady, Iriana via Juanda Airport, Sidoarjo at around 21.00 WIB.
Upon arrival at the airport, Jokowi’s entourage was greeted by TNI Commander Admiral Yugo Margono, National Police Chief General Police Listyo Sigit Prabowo, East Java Governor Khofifah Indar Parawansa, Military Commander V Brawijaya Major General TNI Farid Makruf, and East Java Regional Police Chief Inspector General Imam Sugianto.
After that, the President and Mrs. Iriana headed to the hotel where they were staying overnight to continue their work visit activities the next day. There has been no official statement regarding President Jokowi’s destination in East Java.
Previously, the General Chair of the Golkar Party, Airlangga Hartarto, met President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) at the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, Saturday (21/10/2023) afternoon.
Airlangga arrived five minutes after Gerindra Party Chairman Prabowo Subianto left the Presidential Palace Complex after meeting Jokowi.
Airlangga was observed using a car with plate number B 1541 ZF. Previously, it was reported that President Jokowi would meet with a number of political party leaders this afternoon. Just for your information, the Golkar Party has implemented the National Rapimnas this afternoon.
At the National Meeting, the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming Raka, was decided as the vice presidential candidate (cawapres) running mate to Prabowo Subianto.
Prabowo left the Palace at 16.24 WIB. Prabowo was seen riding in a white Alphard car with plate number B 108 PSD. Prabowo was seen wearing a white, slightly brownish safari shirt as when attending the Golkar Party’s national meeting.
However, there is no further information regarding meetings between a number of political parties, both Airlangga and Prabowo, with President Jokowi.
