On the Biguglia pond, a nature reserve south of Bastia, fishermen have not taken off for a year. Of the five professionals still in activity, four have even decided to stop their activity. Jean-Louis Guaitella, president of the pond commission at the Regional Fisheries Committee, points out the culprits, piled up in front of him in large plastic bins: blue crabs. “We have just brought in about 40 kilos per fyke net, just in one morning,” he says.
