Mudumalai Elephant Sanctuary in Cuddalore, which was closed for four days due to the Prime Minister’s visit, has reopened and allowed tourists to enter. During his visit, he met baby elephant Raghu and Pommi, who were featured in the Oscar-winning documentary film ‘The Elephant Whisperers’, as well as the elephant Bagan Bomman-Pelli couple, who starred in the film. The Forest Department-owned hostels were closed, and tourist vehicle rides were cancelled from the 6th due to the Prime Minister’s visit. Four days after the visit, the hotels in Mudumalai opened on April 10, and motor vehicle rides for tourists also started. Tourists went to Theppakkadu elephant camp, had fun with the baby elephants, Raghu and Bommi, and met Bagan Bomman and took a picture. After the Prime Minister’s visit, the number of tourists visiting the unique Mudumalai has increased.
