New Delhi: Accusing the Modi government of ignoring the Constitution, Congress is continuously attacking the Modi government on the Constitution. In view of this, Congress has started a campaign to create awareness and consciousness in the society about the Constitution. Under which it has created more than three lakh Constitution protectors in the last few months. This process is continuing. Congress is also continuously organizing programs on the Constitution. On the occasion of completion of 75 years of adoption of the Constitution, Congress has made preparations to organize many programs.
Rahul Gandhi will address in Prayagraj on 24 August
In this connection, Congress has planned to organize Samvidhan Samman Diwas in Prayagraj, UP on 24th August. Where Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi will be the main speaker. Regarding this, Rahul Gandhi appealed to the Constitution protectors from all over the country to come there. While appealing on social media to join this campaign, he said that I invite all of you to join the mission of protecting and maintaining the basic values of equality, freedom, fraternity and justice given in the Constitution. In that invitation, Rahul claimed that he will sacrifice his life to protect the Constitution, this is a promise to the country.
Programs will be held continuously till November 26
It is noteworthy that in this direction, Congress has planned to organize continuous programs from 15 August to 26 November. Under this, Samvidhan Rakshak Samman Samaroh will be organized in all the states of the country. Keeping this thought in mind, the head of the SC department of Congress, Rajesh Lilothia said that recently we had organized a program keeping in mind all the 70 assembly seats of Delhi, which was launched by the party treasurer Ajay Maken. On 9 August, on the occasion of Quit India, the party had organized a conference in Mumbai, Maharashtra. While on 5 September, a similar event is going to be organized in Nashik, Maharashtra.
Constitution Day is on 26 November
Lilothia said that we are trying to ensure that Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge and Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi participate in these programs. Congress has planned to hold a big program in Talkatora Stadium in Delhi on the occasion of Constitution Day on 26 November. Meanwhile, the slogan of Delhi Chalo will be raised in these celebrations to be held in different states till November. Lilothia says that both Kharge and Rahul Gandhi will be present in that program. In which leaders and representatives of SC, ST, OBC and minority communities from all over the country will participate.
This campaign will be very special- Congress
It is noteworthy that under the Samvidhan Rakshak Abhiyan started by Congress, three lakh Samvidhan Rakshaks have been registered in the country so far. Under this, Congress had planned to identify at least two people in every village of the country as Samvidhan Rakshaks, one of whom should be a woman and one a man. The job of these Rakshaks is to discuss about the Constitution among the people in the villages, so that people in the society can be made aware about the Constitution. People can know about the rights given in the Constitution. For this, while the SC department of Congress formed Samvidhan Rakshak Gram Committee in the villages, Samvidhan Rakshak Ward Committees were formed for the urban population. Samvidhan Rakshak Samman Samaroh is being organized from districts to states. Congress has started working towards connecting civil society to NGOs with this campaign.
To regain its lost ground, Congress has started an exercise to make inroads among different sections of the society. This effort is also a part of that. Keeping in mind the large sections of the country, SC, ST and OBC, Congress has on one hand started demanding caste census, while on the other hand it is constantly talking about saving the Constitution to ensure reservation for these sections. Congress is trying to mobilize these sections by giving them the message that only if the Constitution is saved, your reservation will be safe. Congress feels that this section has been its core vote bank for a long time. In such a situation, this scattered vote bank can be brought back to its side by talking about social justice.
