Ila Hasson, one of the senior journalists and anchors at News 13, is expected to move to the corporation here and present there a daily program in the style of “Popolitica” – the legendary program with the participation of Dan Margalit, Tommy Lapid and Amnon Dankner. Officials confirmed the details to Maariv.
If the move goes ahead, it will be the second departure of a senior presenter from Channel 13 in a short time, after the presenter Sharon Gal announced his move to Channel 14.
About a month ago it was published in Vala! Culture because the corporation wants to return to the screen a program that will be similar to “Popolitica”, 25 years after it went off the screen. The corporation issued a call for production companies to submit proposals for a live daily program with an audience. Similar to “Popolitica”, this program is also expected to deal with politics, culture and economy – and it is expected to be faithful to the format in “Popolitica”, i.e. presenter, panel, alternating guests – and of course an audience in the studio.
Sources around the corporation told Wala! Culture because this program is part of the corporation’s attempt to add diversity to the screen. “The intention is to create a program that will influence the discourse in Israel, and bring voices from the entire Israeli spectrum. We aim for big names to come to the program, that is, to have public opinion leaders, journalists from within the corporation and journalists from outside the corporation sit on it.” In addition to these, the program will not be managed by the news division but by the culture and entertainment division. According to the calling voice, the program is expected to be broadcast before the news, i.e. on the “Fre Prime” channel.
