Yesterday, Monday, the Israeli army acknowledged the killing of an officer and two soldiers and the wounding of 8 others in an attack that occurred in the northern West Bank.
The Israeli army spokesman announced late Monday evening, “An officer and a soldier were killed and two others were seriously injured in battles in the northern Gaza Strip.”
Haaretz newspaper reported that the killing of the officer and soldier from the Nahal Brigade was due to the firing of an anti-tank missile in the Beit Hanoun area, north of the Gaza Strip.
According to media reports, a suspected Palestinian attacker opened fire on a bus from a car in the village of Al-Funduq, west of Nablus, and is believed to have fled with another person.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said in a statement: “We will find the heinous killers and hold them accountable and all those who provided them with assistance.”
This morning, Israel responded strongly to the Qalqilya operation, in which three Israelis were killed as a result of shooting at a bus and a vehicle. Three Palestinians were killed in the Tubas and Nablus governorates in the northern West Bank by Israeli forces’ bullets.
According to the “Arab 48” website, a special Israeli force assassinated the freed prisoner, Jaafar Ahmed Dababsa, by shooting him directly in front of his house in the Wadi Al-Badhan area, Nablus district, which led to his immediate death.
In Tubas Governorate, two young men, Suleiman Mustafa Qsheitat and Suleiman Mustafa Bisharat, were killed as a result of a bombing carried out by Israeli aircraft on the town of Tammoun, south of the city.
The Red Crescent Society reported that its crews transported two very critically injured people from the site of the bombing to the hospital, before medical sources announced their deaths.
The occupation army said in a brief statement that it bombed an “armed cell” in the town of Tammoun.
Israeli forces stormed the town of Tammoun, after midnight tonight, and deployed in several neighborhoods, and began raiding many Palestinian homes in the town, amid intense, low flight of reconnaissance drones throughout the airspace of Tubas Governorate.
The storming of the town of Tammoun coincides with the continued storming of Al-Faraa camp, south of Tubas, for hours, as infantry forces and snipers are deployed throughout the camp.
Armed clashes broke out between an Israeli force and Palestinian resistance fighters in Al-Faraa camp, and Israeli army drones flew intensely in the air at a low altitude, in addition to helicopters.
Israeli forces stormed the building of the Al-Far’a Camp Services Committee, south of Tubas, after blowing up its entrance, and armed clashes took place, centered in the camp market.
Israeli forces stormed the town of Azzun, east of the city of Qalqilya, from its main northern entrance, and their vehicles moved towards “Wadi Sabyoun.”
For its part, the “Jerusalem Brigades – Tubas” said in a statement on Tuesday: “Our fighters in the Tammoun Company were able to detonate a highly explosive explosive device prepared in advance in the route of military vehicles in the town of Tammoun, causing direct hits on the enemy’s vehicles and soldiers.”
Al-Azhar: 2024 recorded an unprecedented number of intruders into Al-Aqsa Mosque
The year 2024 recorded a new record in the number of intruders at Al-Aqsa Mosque in the occupied Palestinian territories, amounting to 58 thousand intruders.
The Al-Azhar International Observatory revealed in a report that “the number of intruders into Al-Aqsa Mosque in 2024 reached 58,000 intruders, compared to 51,483 in 2023, meaning an increase of more than 13%.”
The Al-Azhar Observatory report explained that “these incursions were accompanied by a series of ‘organized Zionist violations, whether by extremist officials or settler groups’ who responded quickly to the calls of the ‘alleged temple’ organisations.”
The report indicated that “these groups are exploiting the current events to divert attention from the ongoing occupation crimes in the Gaza Strip and the cities and towns of the West Bank.”
The Observatory confirmed in its report that, “At the beginning of 2024, the attacks targeting Al-Aqsa Mosque continued as part of a gradual Judaization plan that seeks to impose a temporal and spatial division on the Holy Mosque to transform it into a completely Jewish holy place.”
The report indicated that “these attacks are taking place with “external support, especially from some pro-Zionist evangelical Christian movements in the United States,” in addition to internal support from the occupation authorities, which reached its peak under the current government.”
The Al-Azhar Observatory stressed “the need for all regional and international powers to act to stop these Zionist plans aimed at Judaizing Al-Aqsa and obliterating its Islamic identity, saying: “Al-Aqsa Mosque is subjected to a fierce religious war aimed at snatching it from the hands of Muslims and imposing a new reality that provokes the feelings of Muslims around the world.”
