/ The media coordinator of the Iraqi national football team, Mohammed Imad, announced on Wednesday that the professional players of the national team have arrived in Abu Dhabi.
Imad told Agency, “The players arrived in full today in Abu Dhabi to participate in the first training session with their local colleagues in preparation for the friendly match against the South Korean national team on Saturday, January 6.”
He added, “The names that arrived successively are (Youssef Al-Amin, Osama Rashid, Danilo Al-Saeed, Alan Mohiuddin, Frans Boutros, Zidane Iqbal, Muntadhar Al-Majid, Mirkhas Doski, Amir Al-Amari, Rebin Sulaqa, and Ali Al-Hamadi).”
Imad confirmed that the national team’s training will begin today, Wednesday, while the team will face South Korea next Saturday before heading to Qatar to participate in the Asian Football Cup finals.
The coach of the Iraqi national football team, Jesus Casas, had called up, at the last moment before the team headed to the Emirates, Akam Hashim, a player for the Erbil Club, as a replacement for Amjad Atwan after the latter was injured in the Iraqi Professional League matches.
