President Rumen Radev will host the traditional iftar dinner this evening on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan for Muslims. Vice President Iliana Yotova will also participate in the event, the press office of the head of state announced. The gala dinner will start at 18:30 at the Grand Hotel Millennium Sofia.
Representatives of the Muslim and other traditional religious communities in Bulgaria, representatives of the diplomatic corps in Bulgaria, figures from the sphere of spirituality, culture, education and science, public figures are invited to the festive dinner.
The president’s household at the solemn iftar dinner is a sign of respect for the importance of the religious traditions and customs of Bulgarian citizens of the Muslim faith, the press office of the head of state notes.
The Muslim religion in our country will celebrate Ramadan Bayram on April 9, 10 and 11, according to a government decision determining the days of religious holidays in 2024.
