(24 News) After the death of 6 students in Bangladesh, the protest intensified, more than 400 people were injured while the government announced the closure of all educational institutions.
According to foreign media reports, students in Bangladesh have started a protest against the quota system for a few days, which has spread to different parts of the country. Reserved for disabled persons should be maintained.
The students blocked the railways and major highways and announced that they will continue their protest until the demands are met. They used tear gas and baton charge.
The government of Bangladesh has announced an indefinite suspension of all education payments in view of the tense situation.

According to local media reports, at least 6 people, including 4 students, have been killed and 400 injured in clashes in Dhaka, Chittagong, Rajshahi and Rangpur. Protesters say the actual death toll is much higher.
It should be noted that in the quota system, 30 percent of government jobs are reserved for the families of those who fought in Bangladesh’s 1971 independence war, while students are demanding reforms in the system and more equitable distribution of top government jobs.
