/ Zakho Club administration announced on Wednesday that it had signed a contract with a Colombian professional to represent Zakho in the Iraqi Premier League.

The club’s president, Ammar Farhad, told Agency, “The administration did not reach an agreement with a Brazilian player to represent Zakho football, which forced it to agree with a Colombian player to represent Zakho for the remainder of the league in the winter transfers.”

He added, “The management, in agreement with the Qatari team coach, Talal Al-Balushi, contracted with the Colombian professional, Darwin Lopez, during the winter transfer period, to be one of the elements of the Zakho team during the next stage.”

The management of Nawroz Club also signed a contract with the Brazilian left-back, Wilkinton Da Silva, coming from the Uzbek team, Bunyodkor.

The Brazilian player will represent Nowruz for the remaining matches of the Iraqi Premier League for the 2023-2024 season.
