Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu underwent a routine colonoscopy this morning at Shaare Zedek Hospital.
At the time of the inspection, the Prime Minister was under cover and his place was filled by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister Aryeh Deri, in accordance with the coalition agreements.
The examination was performed by the director of the gastroenterology department Prof. Eran Goldin, the anesthesiologists Prof. Yaakov Gozal, Dr. Dan Leibovski, nurse Galit Peres, accompanied by the Prime Minister’s personal physician, Dr. Zvika Berkovitch.
Netanyahu’s personal doctor said: “In the examination, two small, benign-looking polyps were found, which were removed in their entirety during the examination. The Prime Minister’s health is excellent and he has returned to full activity.”
Last night the Prime Minister’s Office updated that “Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu will undergo a routine gastro examination. The examination will be conducted in partial darkness for a short time. During the examination, Minister Aryeh Deri will fill his place, in accordance with the coalition agreements.”
