Little respite for Jonas Vingegaard. A month after a Tour de France which he will win – except earthquake – on Sunday, the Dane will continue with the Vuelta, confirmed the Jumbo-Visma to the Parisian. He will be one of the two headliners of the yellow and black formation, which will also send Primoz Roglic to the Tour of Spain, from August 26.

Vingegaard has already participated in the Vuelta in 2020, where he finished in an anonymous 46th place. But the Dane did not yet have his current status as an icon and operated as a teammate of Roglic, winner that year of the second of his three Vueltas.

The Jumbo for a full box?

Absent from the Tour de France this year but winner of the Giro in May, the Slovenian will share the leadership of the Jumbo-Visma with Vingegaard. The Dutch team will try to complete their full card on the Grand Tours, but the competition will be tough.

Title holder and preserved during the Tour, Remco Evenepoel (Soudal Quick-Step) will be expected, as will the Spanish prodigy Juan Ayuso (UAE Team Emirates), third last year.
