After the World Cup, Tricolor Basketball returns to Morumbi and faces Unifacisa

Back in Brazil, after the Intercontinental Cup (Club World Cup), Basketball Tricolor faces Unifacisa this Friday, at 8 pm, at the Morumbi gymnasium, in another round of the NBB. The match will be broadcast by SPFC Play.

It will be São Paulo’s first game after winning the world runner-up. In Tenerife, Spain, Tricolor defeated Vipers-USA by 91 to 70 and then lost to Tenerife, returning to Brazil with the second place in the main international championship of clubs in the world.

Last Thursday, it was four years since the first Basketball Tricolor game since the team’s return, in 2019. Since then, the team has played 16 tournaments and in 14 it was among the top four. Coincidentally, the first opponent in the recent history of São Paulo basketball was Unifacisa. Tricolor won by 77 to 69, in the Golden League (NBB’s second division).

In general history, São Paulo has a large advantage over this Friday’s opponent. In 15 games, there were 11 wins and 4 losses. The last meeting at Morumbi ended with a tricolor victory by 88 to 70, on February 5, 2022.
