Nael Barghouti, who was convicted of the murder of the late Dan Yekuel Mordechai, who was released as part of the Shalit deal, will be returned to serve a life sentence. The Committee for Examining the Violation of Conditions of Mitigation accepted the position of the military prosecution, and stated that there is enough evidence that Naal Barghouti committed a crime by possessing a large amount of money knowing that he was from a terrorist organization, and therefore violated the conditions of his release. Under these circumstances, the committee ordered the cancellation of the mitigation of the sentence and the return of Barghouti to continue serving the full term of imprisonment, which includes life imprisonment and an additional 18 years of imprisonment.
