Agadir Ida-Outanane: ONEE strengthens and secures the drinking water supply of the douars under the Commune of Immouzzer

Agadir – On August 10, the National Office of Electricity and Drinking Water (ONEE) proceeded with the commissioning of the project to strengthen and secure the drinking water supply of 50 douars in the Commune of Immouzzer (Prefecture of Agadir Ida-Outanane).

Costing 4 million dirhams, this project financed by the European Investment Bank (EIB), concerns the reinforcement of the drinking water supply of the douars of this Commune from the production system of the Tamri treatment station treating the waters of the Moulay Abdellah Dam, and this through the laying of a supply pipe of a linear length of 8.4 km and diameter 110 mm and the equipment of two recovery stations, underlines the ONEE in a press release received Wednesday by MAP.

Benefiting a population of approximately 2,780 inhabitants, the project will make it possible to resolve the deficit in the supply of drinking water recorded in the beneficiary douars, following the fall in the productivity of the only existing drinking water resource caused by the succession of years of drought in this region.

It will also contribute to improving the living conditions of the beneficiary populations as well as to the socio-economic development of the region.
