US President Joe Biden and Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold a video call this coming Tuesday, to discuss tensions around Ukraine.

“Biden will highlight US concerns about Russia’s military activity on Ukraine’s border and reiterate US support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity,” White House spokeswoman Jen Saki said.

She also added that the two would also discuss issues of “strategic stability, cyber, and regional affairs.”

The two will also discuss bilateral relations and the implementation of agreements reached at the joint conference in June. This was announced in the Kremlin.

“The call will indeed take place on Tuesday,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov told Reuters. “Bilateral relations, and of course Ukraine and the Geneva agreements will be the main issues on the agenda.”

The exact time of the call was not disclosed.

About 9,400 Russian troops are on the border with Ukraine. The Ukrainian defense minister said on Friday that Moscow may be planning an extensive military offensive towards the end of January. So do US believers.

Last Friday, Biden told reporters that “my expectations are that we have a long discussion with Putin. I do not accept anyone’s red lines.”

The US president stressed that his country is planning a set of initiatives designed to prevent the Russian president from making progress in his plans regarding Ukraine.
