The Education and Youth Corps published a song today (Sunday) in preparation for the 75th anniversary of the State of Israel. The song was written by the advertiser Moshe Klugeft and composed by Chen Harari.

The song “We are the next generation” was sung by the Heil Ha’anuch band with the vocalists: Agam Bohbut, Ela Li Lahav and Or Amrami. The song is accompanied by a clip filmed at several heritage sites that emphasizes the message of passing the baton from generation to generation: “I didn’t dance in the streets / but I learned to remember the obvious / that I have a home to repeat history like a clock / and we are the hand in your passport in your heart seals the victory of your grandfather.”

The song ends with a kicking and revolting message towards the parents’ generation: “Our photos are on a cloud of memory and you don’t have permission to edit/ The next generation a foot here a foot there/ until man to man is man”.

The music video was filmed in Atlit refugee camp, the old city hall of Tel Aviv-Jaffa, Ben-Gurion House and the base of the General Staff. The song is sung by an educational quintet: Ofer Dadia, Adir Mattiyo, Heli Biran, Shira Weissler, Aden Davidson, Yarin Neve.
