Agargaon to Motijheel section of Metrorail has been suspended due to a problem with a rubber pad between a pillar and girder of the Metrorail infrastructure.

Agargaon-Motijheel section is closed because of this reason

It is known that the viaduct of a part of the metro rail track has been laid in the area between the capital’s Farmgate and Vijay Samari. As a result, the metro train movement of Agargaon-Motijheel route has been stopped. Metrorail will remain closed on this route until it is fixed.

In this regard, the managing director of Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL), the company that manages the metro rail, Mohammad Abdur Rauf said that there was a technical fault. It is being fixed. Work has already started.

On Wednesday morning, DMTCL’s verified Facebook page informed that train movement from Agargaon to Motijheel section has been temporarily stopped from 9:40 am due to unavoidable reasons. However, train movement continues from Uttara North to Agargaon section. Agargaon to Motijheel section will be informed if the train movement is normal.
