The Ministry of Agriculture, agave producers and the tequila industry will expand scientific-technical collaboration in the management of satellite, digital and statistical information, in order to take action preventive measures in phytosanitary matters, genetic improvement, sustainable production and better planning of agave cultivation.
In a working meeting with the sector, the secretary Victor Villalobos Arambula He stated that the conditions are in place to expand the national information available on the surface planted with agave, by measuring crops with satellite images, and their historical analysis since 2003, for the benefit of producers y agribusiness.
