Is age just a number? Netflix is tackling that age-old question with its new dating series—and it’s already generating more awkwardness than “Love Is Blind.”
“Age of Attraction” will premiere Wednesday, March 11, beginning with the first five episodes. Two additional episodes will air on March 18, culminating in the finale on March 25. The show throws singles of all ages into a single dating pool, concealing their true ages to allow connections to form across generations. According to the official description, “Age is thrown out the window when singles search for their soulmates, but will the years come between them?”
Netflix has also released a trailer—available above—showing the singles arriving at a scenic location and learning they’ll be dating without knowing their partner’s age. “The truth is, when love is there, and love is real, age won’t matter,” one participant asserts. However, one potential couple hits a snag when the older woman reveals to the younger man that she’d “probably want to fix you up with my daughter.” She initially believes he’s in his 30s…but he might be even younger. (Ouch.)
“The Bachelor” veteran Nick Viall and his wife, Natalie Joy—who share an 18-year age gap themselves—will host the series.
