AGEXPORT and FENACOAC-MICOOPE come together to boost exports

The Association of Exporters of Guatemala (AGEXPORT) and the National Federation of Savings and Credit Cooperatives of Guatemala (FENACOAC), belonging to the MICOOPE Cooperative System, signed a Letter of Understanding (CoE) this Wednesday with the objective of coordinating joint efforts to promote chains. make and strengthen exports of Guatemalan products and services.

As announced, this strategic alliance between AGEXPORT and the MICOOPE System seeks to identify market opportunities, provide business development services and facilitate access to products and financial services for Guatemalan exporters.


To achieve these objectives, the two organizations agreed to coordinate three main actions:

  1. Identifying Market Opportunities: Promoting productive chains towards the international export of Guatemalan products, identifying market opportunities and developing joint promotion strategies.

  2. Generating Spaces for Entrepreneurs: Creating spaces for entrepreneurs Associates of Cooperatives in the Internationalization Route Program and other business development services implemented by AGEXPORT.

  3. Facilitate Access to Financial Services: Establish mechanisms to facilitate access to financial products and services for exporters through Cooperatives and MICOOPE Corporate companies.

They also said that the signing of this CoE will allow the promotion of the financial products and services provided by the MICOOPE System to AGEXPORT business members, as well as encourage participation in Business Links events to create business alliances with businessmen involved with the MICOOPE Cooperatives.

In addition, this CoE will offer preferential prices to entrepreneurs involved in the MICOOPE Cooperatives interested in obtaining Expert Consulting Services (SEC AGEXPORT), which has a portfolio of approximately 1,200 national and international experts.


Among other benefits, the signing of this CoE will allow the linking of financial products and services provided by Cooperatives MICOOPE, CREDIPYME, Seguros COLUMNA and SERVIMICOOPE with AGEXPORT’s business partners.


The signing of this Letter of Understanding is a significant step towards strengthening Guatemalan exports and creating economic development opportunities for Guatemalan entrepreneurs. AGEXPORT and FENACOACMICOOPE are committed to working together to achieve these objectives and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the country.
