These developments came days after the authorities in Sudan announced the emergence of “dengue fever” in 8 states, as well as an increase in malaria cases.

The Ministry of Health also stated at the time that the injuries affected the states of Greater Darfur and Kordofan, in addition to the Red Sea, Kassala and the White Nile.

She added that the state of North Darfur is the most affected so far by the disease, as hundreds of people have been infected, noting that hundreds of cases of malaria have also emerged.

While local officials in North Darfur appealed to the central authorities and international organizations to intervene urgently to limit the spread of diseases.

It is noteworthy that Sudan suffers from several living crises, most notably economic problems such as increased taxes, poverty and unemployment, as well as the weakness of the medical system in the country due to the Corona virus crisis as well.
