Protests continue across the country against the Agneepath military recruitment scheme. Railways in Bihar have lost Rs 200 crore due to the protests. During the protest, 50 coaches and five engines were reportedly destroyed by fire. Protests continue for the fourth day in a row in Bihar. Even today, trains and railway stations were destroyed by fire.

Prabhat Kumar, Divisional Manager, Danapur Rail Division, said that the railway station platforms and computers were damaged due to this. In Bihar, meanwhile, the bandh called by organizations continues. Railways suspended 241 trains following the attack on Targana station.

This is the fourth day of agitation against the recruitment drive for the army. The agitation, which started in Bihar, has spread to seven states. In protest-stricken Bihar, stones were hurled at the homes of Deputy Chief Minister Renu Devi and Bihar BJP president Sanjay Jaiwal yesterday.

Apart from Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, Telangana and Haryana are also witnessing protests against the central government over the Agneepath issue. One person has been killed and several others injured in a series of shootings in Secunderabad, Telangana. The situation is similar in Ludhiana. Several railway stations were destroyed.

Several tarring services were suspended in northern India amid protests. As security mounted across Karnataka, more security personnel were deployed at railway stations. But no security issues have been reported in Karnataka so far.
