The conflicting parties in Tajoura reached an agreement to calm the situation and stop the armed clashes that took place in the region, and to deploy neutral forces on the contact lines to resolve the conflict.
According to local sources, the agreement stipulates the return of the Misurata Joint Force to its headquarters in Tajoura and the confirmation of the return of the Rahba Shield Battalion to its military barracks.
The agreement also stipulates the entry of a security force to resolve the conflict, including the 111th Brigade, the 55th Infantry, and the Lions of Tajoura.
As part of the efforts to calm the situation between the conflicting parties, it was agreed that the joint forces would not advance beyond Qarabulli.
According to sources, contacts are ongoing between the wise men in Souq al-Juma, Misurata and Tajoura to reach a truce on the condition of peace and no weapons.
The spokesman for the Emergency Medicine Center and supporter, Malek Marsit, said that 64 families stuck in the areas of clashes on the Al-Rahma Mosque axis in Tajoura were evacuated after safe corridors were opened for them.
Marsit added in press statements that a safe passage was opened for eight other people, including an elderly man suffering from a medical condition, on the Shatt al-Banour axis in the areas of clashes.
The Emergency Medicine and Support Center asked citizens to stay away from the areas of clashes in the Tajoura and Al-Qawwa Bolli areas.
Meanwhile, the Prime Minister’s Council in Tripoli is holding a high-level security meeting to discuss the tense security situation, amid calls in the region for restraint.
The presidency of the University of Tripoli announced the suspension of studies, exams, and the suspension of administrative work in all faculties and departments until further notice.
Earlier, the Ambulance and Emergency Service announced that the death toll from armed clashes in Tajoura had risen to 9 people.
Today, Saturday, the Authority requested the ambulance branches (Misurata, Zamzam, Zliten, Al-Khums, Al-Sahel and Bani Walid) to join the sub-chamber in Qasr Al-Akhyar in order to distribute the tasks related to their work.
