India’s agricultural exports have increased by 20 per cent.

Despite the large exports of food grains, legumes, vegetables, fruits, horticultural products, cashews and processed meats, key commodities such as rice ($ 9.65 billion), wheat ($ 2.19 billion) and sugar ($ 4.6 billion) have so far been exported in large numbers. .

Wheat exports increased by an unprecedented 273 percent. Rice exports increased by 9.35% last year.

India’s agricultural exports are said to have increased due to the ongoing fighting between Ukraine and Russia, which have been meeting most of the world’s wheat demand.

Meanwhile, agreements have been signed for the export of Indian bananas and baby maize ‘baby corn’ to Canada to further boost India’s agricultural exports.

The talks took place last week between Indian Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Canadian Ambassador Cameron McKay.

Indian bananas make up 25 percent of the world’s population. At the Indian level, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra, Kerala and Madhya Pradesh produce 75 per cent of the bananas.
