AgroBankthe division specialized in the agri-food sector of CaixaBank, has financed the entire agri-food chain in Girona with 641 million euros during the first half of 2023which represents an increase of 33.9% compared to the same period of the previous year.
The entity closes the first semester of the year with a new increase in financing in the sector thanks to having 13 agro offices in the territoryand with a team of 66 specialized managersas detailed by CaixaBank in a statement.
The territorial director of CaixaBank in Catalonia, Josep Maria González, assures that “the growth in the volume of financing reflects our firm commitment to the agri-food sector, a key part of our economy, and we are close to our customers for the whole that they need, helping, in addition, so that their farms are more sustainable and innovative, key factors for the progress of the rural area».
In addition, the territorial director of the entity in Catalonia explains that “this first semester has been marked by the losses that our customers are suffering as a result of the drought. For this reason, AgroBank is carrying out financing initiatives with preferential conditions to help combat the decrease in income.’
