The construction of the Añarbe dam and a water supply network, first, and the solution to the serious problem of sanitation and sewage treatment, subsequently, are the elements on which the book entitled ‘Urak elkartuta pivots -United by water’ presented yesterday by Iñaki Etxaniz and Iñigo Imaz and describes the history of Añarbe Waters.
The book, published in collaboration with the Miguel de Aranburu Association of Historians of Gipuzkoa, is the result of exhaustive historical research and offers a detailed overview of the history of Aguas del Añarbe, which officially began in 1968 with the creation of the Commonwealth.
An entity that has faced important challenges in recent decades to equip itself with the necessary infrastructures to provide these services to the people of San Sebastian with sufficiency and quality. The book is available for reading and downloading on the Añarbe website and, in addition, it will be distributed in the main libraries in our area.
