Speaker of the House of Representatives, Counselor Aguila Saleh, accompanied by Khalifa Haftar, participated in the graduation ceremony of the first class at the University of Derna, following the flood disaster.

The Speaker of the House of Representatives pointed out that “the university, by virtue of its position in society, is considered the vanguard of progress and a pioneer of thought. It explores the unknown and paves the way towards everything new in people’s material and social lives. It leads the people’s journey towards a better tomorrow and is the first place for serious, free scientific research,” offering “congratulations to the graduates on “They obtain academic qualifications and graduate from the university after learning and teaching,” hoping that “they will participate in supporting security and stability and building state institutions, saluting every university professor who has done his duty and sees it as a message and an honesty and sees the university as a vanguard for progress and a pioneer of the free idea and for the university to be in the service of society.”
The ceremony was attended by members of the House of Representatives, the Prime Minister of the Libyan Government designated by the House of Representatives, Dr. Osama Hammad, the Director General of the Libya Development and Reconstruction Fund, Eng. Balqasim Haftar, the Director General of the Medical Supply and Medical and Treatment Services Authority, Hatem Al-Araibi, the Deputy Prime Minister, Engineer Salem Maatouq Al-Zadma, and ministers and undersecretaries.
