Speaker of the House of Representatives, Aguila Saleh, met with the Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, Rosemary DiCarlo, accompanied by the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General of the United Nations and Acting Head of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya, Stephanie Khoury.

For her part, the Under-Secretary-General of the United Nations, Rosemary DiCarlo, stressed “the necessity of resuming the political process immediately after ending the crisis of the Central Bank of Libya, so that we can move towards forming a unified government, ending the political and institutional division, and working to organize presidential and parliamentary elections simultaneously. She also praised the achievements made in the field of reconstruction, development, and national reconciliation in southern Libya.”
