jpnn.comJAKARTA – Legal practitioner and observer of social and cultural politics (Polsosbud) Agus Widjajanto said there was encouragement from various elements of society for Siti Hardianti Hastuti Rukmana or Mbak Tutut to return to the Golongan Karya Party (Golkar).

According to Agus, this hope is based on the latest phenomenon, where none of Golkar’s top administrators are from the family of former President Suharto.

Agus assessed that Suharto was the initiator and founder of the Golongan Karya Party, which was originally the Golongan Karya Joint Secretariat which was formed together with Soehardiman on October 20 1964.

“We know that Mbak Tutut is not hungry for power, but returning to Golkar will certainly bring more color to the running of the party,” said Agus in his statement, Thursday (2/1/2024).

He hopes that Mbak Tutut’s joining will add more color to the party bearing the banyan tree symbol in the dynamics of national politics.

Because Mbak Tutut is the son of former President Suharto who co-founded Golkar and was in power during the New Order government for 32 years.

“We certainly hope that Mbak Tutut or Siti Hardijanti Rukmana will help restore the dignity of the Golkar Party as well as participate in the success of national development under the new Prabowo-Gibran government,” he said.

Agus Widjajanto stated that if in the future Mbak Tutut really rejoins Golkar, it means that there are ideological children and biological children of the 2nd President of the Republic of Indonesia, HM Soeharto, in Golkar.

Agus Widjajanto hopes that Siti Hardianti Hastuti Rukmana or familiarly known as Mbak Tutut can return to join the Golongan Karya Party (Golkar).
