The sports leader said that now the Argentine is another rival during the competition to reach the 2026 World Cup. “Ricardo is a professional, we must wish him the best. Undoubtedly, when he plays against Peru, we cannot wish him the same. It was normal. “These things happen in football and today we have him in front as a rival,” he told the national press.
Likewise, Lozano thanked ‘Tigre’, who managed to qualify the Peruvian National Team to a World Cup after 36 years.
“We will always be grateful for everything he did for the country, for everything he left in the Peruvian people. Today we are in a different scenario and we have to focus on giving full support to Professor Fossati,” he concluded.
