jpnn.comJAKARTA – Ahead of the decision on the general election results dispute (PHPU) at the Constitutional Court (MK) on Monday (22/4), discussions regarding the composition of the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet are increasingly intensive.
“I think that with the Constitutional Court decision getting closer, discussions about the composition of the cabinet in the Prabowo-Gibran government will become more intensive, both ministers who come from coalition parties, or ministers who come from various professions and expertise, including regions, ” said Gerindra Party Secretary General Ahmad Muzani at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday.
He said that the conditions for becoming presidential assistants in the Prabowo-Gibran cabinet were those who knew, understood and agreed to the president’s program, whether campaigned or discussed in the presidential and vice presidential debate.
“Understanding and approving the program of the president and vice president is a must because the minister is the president’s assistant. He will implement the work program based on the president’s policies, not the minister’s policies,” he said.
Because, he said, the minister’s policy is an elaboration or translation of the president’s policy.
“So as a condition, the president’s assistant must agree to the president’s program, which is mandatory,” he said.
Muzani said that his party would take into account people who received recommendations and who were deemed to have expertise in the field for which they would be held or proposed.
“Of course, everyone thinks that those proposed by political party leaders are experts in their fields. Therefore, we respect all the names and compositions proposed by political parties in submitting names and positions to the elected president Prabowo Subianto and the elected vice president Gibran Rakabuming Raka,” he said.
