jpnn.com – SEMARANG – The winning team of Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin Maimoen in the 2024 Central Java gubernatorial election is full of well-known names, including a number of retired generals, former high-ranking TNI or Polri officers.
They sit on the board of trustees, including former Army Chief of Staff General (ret.) Dudung Abdurachman, former Central Java Governor Lt. Gen. (ret.) Bibit Waluyo, former National Police Chief General (ret.) Sutarman, and former Deputy National Police Chief Commissioner General (ret.) Ari Dono Sukmanto.
The head of the winning team is also a retiree. He is the Special Assistant to Defense Minister Prabowo Subianto, Lieutenant General (ret.) AM Putranto.
Putranto is a graduate of the 1987 Akmil Infantry Corps.
“I was given a task by Mr. Prabowo to help win the Ahmad Luthfi-Taj Yasin Maimoen pair,” said AM Putranto during the team formation declaration in Semarang, Saturday (7/9).
According to him, the Luthfi-Taj Yasin pair is supported by a combination of 15 political parties. “Without a solid team it will be in vain,” said Putranto.
The Central Java Provincial KPU received registrations for two prospective candidate pairs.
The Andika Perkasa-Hendrar Prihadi pair was supported by the PDI Perjuangan with a total of 5.2 million valid votes from the 2024 Election.
