The allegations of fraud against extremism researcher Ahmad Mansour may also have legal repercussions: the psychologist is considering filing a lawsuit against the reporting on him. At the same time, he struggles with his actions, says Mansour.
Ahmad Mansour denies allegations that he falsified his biography. “I’m not a liar, I’m slandered,” he says in an interview with the weekly newspaper “Die Zeit”.
Mansour was accused by a freelance writer on the British web portal Hyphen last week of making false statements about studying psychology at the renowned Tel Aviv University in Israel. In addition, contrary to his own statements, Mansour was never a radical Muslim and therefore could not have dropped out.

Mansour now alleges that the journalist intends to “delegitimize him as a person.” He will therefore “sue the author for defamation and false factual allegations.” He also studied at Tel Aviv University and graduated from HU Berlin.

Criticism of Islam is often suspected of being AFD
As a result of last week’s shitstorm, Mansour continued in the interview, he sees himself and his family in Israel at risk.
In his opinion, critics of Islamism would also be downright massacred in Germany. “Since the AfD entered the Bundestag in 2017, there has been a fear of confirming it.” Criticism of political Islam is increasingly “suspected by the AfD and labeled as xenophobic, even if it comes from Muslims and foreigners like me.”
When asked if he sometimes thinks about quitting, Mansour tells the newspaper: “Every day.” However, he does not give up: “Not yet.”
