The Ahmedabad team is set to add Hardik Pandya, Rashid Khan and Shubman Gill ahead of the IPL 2022 mega auction. According to ESPN Cricket Info, Hardik will lead Ahmedabad in the next season of the cash-strapped IPL league.
The report added that Hardik and Rashid would each earn Rs 15 crore and Shupman was contracted for Rs 7 crore. Hardik was dropped from the Mumbai Indians squad ahead of the auction as they chose Rohit Sharma, Kieran Pollard, Jaspreet Bumra and Suryakumar Yadav over him. Rashid decided to split from Sunrisers Hyderabad, which retained Kane Williamson, Umran Malik and Abdul Samad. After the IPL 2021 season, Kolkata decided to select players other than Schupman.
For the Mumbai Indians, Hardik scored 1476 runs in 92 matches at an average of 27.33 and took 42 wickets. He worked primarily in the role of a finisher, often batting in the lower order. He last played for India in the 2021 T20 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates, but was knocked out.
After the ICC match, Hardik was unable to take the test as he was trying to regain his 100 per cent fitness.

Ahmedabad have finalized coaches with IPL owners Ashish Nehra, Gary Kirsten and Vikram Solanki. Interestingly, the trio have worked together for the Royal Challengers Bangalore team in the past.
IPL President Brijesh Patel has already announced that the IPL mega auction 2022 will be held in Bangalore on February 12 and 13.
