Ahn Cheol-soo’s Ahnlab stock fell, reducing his fortune by 69.3 billion to ‘134.7 billion’

A total of four members of the People’s Power Ahn Cheol-soo, Jeon Bong-min, Park Deok-heum, and Democratic Party member Park Jeong-won were found to have assets exceeding 50 billion won as of last year.

On the 31st, the Public Service Ethics Committee of the National Assembly released the details of reports on regular property changes for 296 members of the National Assembly and 37 public officials of the National Assembly Secretariat, the National Assembly Library, the National Assembly Budget Office, and the National Assembly Legislation Research Service (Level 1 or higher).

Representative Ahn Cheol-soo reported a total of 134.7 billion 9.6 million won in property last year. Compared to the previous reported amount, it decreased by 69,345,905,000 won, which was mostly due to changes in the valuation of AhnLab stock owned by Rep. Ahn himself.

Rep. Bong-min Jeon’s property last year totaled 55,916,772,000 won, a decrease of 50,639,014,000 won from the previous year. In the case of former lawmaker, it was analyzed that his property fluctuated greatly as he left 58,300 shares of Dongsu Construction Co., Ltd., which he owns, in a blank trust.

Representative Park Deok-heum’s reported property was 52.617144 million won, down 14.6217 billion won from the previous year. Like the former lawmaker, it was a case where the reported amount decreased as the shares of Wonha Construction, Lee Jun General Construction, and Haeyoung Construction held by Congressman Park and his spouse were put in a blank trust.


Rep. Park Jung is the only one among the four rich lawmakers with more than 50 billion won in wealth. Rep. Park’s reported assets totaled 50,598,508,000 won, an increase of 4,783,682,000 won from the previous year. It was analyzed that the effect of the increase in the valuation of buildings and unlisted stocks owned by Congressman Park himself and his spouse. In the case of reported buildings, all unlisted stocks such as Park Jeong Language Academy and Amazon Car rose by 2.47 billion won compared to the previous year, and 2.158337 million won.

Rep. Yoon Sang-hyun, the People’s Power, whose reported property was more than 50 billion won in 2021, seemed to have reduced the amount by nearly half as of last year. Last year, 29,914,409,000 won was reported as property, a decrease of 27,878,547,000 won from the previous year. The decline in the valuation of unlisted stocks owned by Congressman Yoon’s spouse by about 26 billion won was significant.

The average reported property of 292 people, excluding four lawmakers whose reported property was over 50 billion won, was 2.526 billion won. By size based on the total amount of reported property, 22 lawmakers (7.4%) reported less than 500 million won, 54 (18.2%) between 500 million and 1 billion won, 104 lawmakers (35.1%) between 1 billion and 2 billion won, and 2 billion to 50 billion won. 83 people (28.0%) earned 100 million won, and 33 people (11.1%) earned more than 5 billion won.


The number of lawmakers whose wealth increased last year compared to the previous year was 258, or 87.2%. Among them, there were a total of 8 lawmakers with an increase of more than 1 billion won. There were 38 lawmakers (12.8%) whose property decreased, and 8 of them had a decrease of more than 1 billion won.

In the case of Rep. Noh Woong-rae of the Democratic Party, an additional report of 300 million won in cash stood out. Recently, the prosecution found 300 million won in cash during a seizure and search of Congressman Roh’s house, and additional investigations are ongoing to determine the nature of the money. Rep. Roh’s side is in the position that the money was kept in an envelope as a congratulatory money for the publication commemoration event and as a gift for her father and mother-in-law. The prosecution indicted Rep. Roh without detention the day before on charges of bribery, brokerage and bribing, and violation of the Political Fund Act, without finalizing the disposition of the money.
