Former soccer player Ahn Jung-hwan reveals that he had dreadlocks during his playing days.
On the Channel A entertainment show ‘Family Over the Line’ airing at 9:40 PM on the 13th, Chris, who has been in Korea for 15 years, Carlos, who has been in Korea for 17 years, and Peter Vint, who has been in Korea for 20 years, will appear as panelists to add valuable information to the vivid local stories of families from the US, Brazil, and the UK.
The couple Myung-hwa Choi and Juener, who crossed the line to Brazil, reveal the scene of their ‘reggae trip’ to Jamaica. Immediately after, the couple visits a local hair salon and tries out a reggae hairstyle.
Upon seeing this, Ahn Jung-hwan reminisces, saying, “I also had dreadlocks once when I was a player. I sat down and braided my hair for 6 to 8 hours.” He then confesses, “I tried it because I like Bob Marley, but I had to let it go a week later.”
Lee Hye-won immediately goes on to reveal, “(The hairstyle) was pretty, but it smelled too much.” Ahn Jung-hwan explains, “It smelled, but I had no choice but to take it off because an advertisement came in,” causing everyone to burst into laughter.
Amidst the laughter, Choi Myung-hwa explains, “The symbol of Jamaica is none other than the singer Bob Marley. Bob Marley is a representative figure who made the genre called reggae, which is a mixture of American and Jamaican music styles, known worldwide. His representative song is ‘No Woman No Cry.’”
Here, guest appearance duo member Muzi of UV joked, “Bob Marley wrote and composed this song in his friend’s name to provide financial support to a friend who lost both legs to diabetes. It’s my personal opinion, but I think he gave the song to me without knowing it would do so well.”
The couple Myung-hwa Choi and Juener capture attention by introducing Bob Marley’s birthplace, as well as the ‘Cane River Falls’ and ‘Reggae Island Fest’, which Bob Marley enjoyed visiting during his lifetime. Ahn Jung-hwan and MC Song Jin-woo express their envy, saying, “I really want to go there.”
