Actor Ahn Se-ha, who was recently accused of school violence, has decided not to appear on the musical stage for the time being, following the cancellation of the NC Dinos first pitch event.
The production company of the musical “A Gentleman’s Guide to Love and Murder,” Shownote, announced on Instagram and other platforms on the 12th, “Regarding the recent issues surrounding Ahn Se-ha, who is appearing as D’Ysquith in the musical “A Gentleman’s Guide,” we have decided that it would be difficult for the actor to meet the audience through the work until the related information is sorted out, regardless of the truth of the matter.”
The Shownote side added, “The production company and the actor’s agency have mutually agreed to change the casting schedule for Ahn Se-ha’s remaining performances,” and “We ask for your understanding for any inconvenience this casting change may cause in viewing the performances.”
An Se-ha was originally scheduled to perform on the 19th, 24th, and 27th, but actor Jeong Moon-seong will perform in his place on the 19th and 24th, and Jeong Sang-hoon will perform on the 27th. His earliest scheduled performance is the 13th, but due to performance circumstances, An Se-ha will perform on that day.
Recently, a post was uploaded to an online community claiming that Ahn Se-ha had been a victim of school violence in the past, sparking a controversy over ‘school violence’. Regarding this, Ahn Se-ha’s agency stated that it was “groundless” and that they would hold those who posted false information legally accountable.
Despite the agency’s response, the controversy is growing as online communities continue to post about being bullied by Ahn Se-ha or witnessing it.
Due to this aftermath, An Se-ha canceled the NC Dinos’ first pitch schedule scheduled for the 15th.
