Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang announced an $8 billion investment in Europe over the past year during a Stockholm visit, where he launched the Sferical One supercomputer and warned that artificial intelligence will impact every industry and company.
Artificial intelligence will transform the global commercial landscape, according to Nvidia chief executive Jensen Huang, who delivered the stark prediction during a high-profile European tour stop in Stockholm. The executive emphasized that the technology will eventually touch every corner of the corporate world.
Every single company will be an AI company eventually. Every single industry will be impacted by AI.

Huang stressed that European nations must accelerate their technological development by constructing the entire digital infrastructure stack, ranging from foundational data centers to consumer-facing applications. The Nvidia leader noted that his firm has committed substantial financial resources to support this growth across the continent.
Sferical One Supercomputer Launch and Nordic Infrastructure
The Stockholm visit marked the formal rollout of Sferical One, a Swedish sovereign AI supercomputer designed to keep sensitive local expertise and data inside the country. Operating since late summer, the system runs on Nvidia chips and represents a collaborative push by regional industrial heavyweights.
Founding members of the Sferical AI project include Ericsson, AstraZeneca, Saab, SEB, and Wallenberg Investments, with SKF participating as a strategic partner.
Cloud providers operating across the area include Bitdeer, CoreWeave, Crusoe, Hyperstack, Nscale, Verda, and Volta. Sweden’s startup ecosystem raised $2.8 billion in the first half of 2026 and is projected to reach $5 billion for the year.
Nvidia Financial Commitments Across Europe
Speaking to Agence France-Presse after his keynote address, Huang disclosed the scale of his company’s recent capital deployment.

In the last one year, we’ve invested $8 billion already. We have another couple of billion dollars in the pipeline.

The strategy involves backing high-quality regional firms designed to lift the wider European digital network. Huang explicitly pointed to the British data center and AI cloud provider Nscale alongside Dutch cloud operator Nebius as prime examples of these targeted deployments.
Upcoming GTC Berlin Keynote Schedule
The Stockholm events immediately precede the company’s upcoming developer conference in Germany. Huang’s European tour continues next week with a scheduled keynote address at GTC Berlin, set for Wednesday, October 21, at 11 a.m. CEST.
