AIADMK District Secretary SRK Appu has been booked under Section 6 for cutting the ribbon and opening the Katpadi railway flyover without permission.
AIADMK Municipal District Secretary SRK Appu this morning announced that the work on the Katpadi railway overpass in Vellore district has been completed and will be operational from today. Automatically went and cut the ribbon and opened the railway overpass.
Following this, the Revenue Department registered a case against him at the Katpadi police station under two sections and based on this he has been arrested and taken to the Katpadi police station.
At the instigation of Vellore MP Kathir Anand, the police staged a protest in front of his house condemning the police for violating the ATU and his arrest. There was great excitement when a relative tried to put out the fire. Following this, the AIADMK is currently engaged in a road blockade in front of the Katpadi police station.
Based on the complaint lodged by Karasamangalam VAO, the Katpadi police have filed a case under the sections of preventing government officials from working, trespassing, threatening to take action knowingly endangering human life, gathering without permission and acting illegally. Four of these categories are non-bailable categories.
