It has been reported that O. Panneerselvam will file an appeal in the Supreme Court on the 5th against the decision of the High Court that the AIADMK will go to the General Committee held on July 11.
In the case filed by O. Panneerselvam in the Madras High Court regarding the AIADMK general meeting, the general meeting held on July 11 was invalid. Single Judge Jayachandran ordered that the status quo should continue till June 23. Edappadi Palaniswami filed an appeal against this judgment in the Madras High Court.

The case was heard by a two-judge bench consisting of Duraisamy and Sundarmohan. The judges who delivered the verdict in this case yesterday, the order passed by the single judge Jayachandran is null and void. Edappadi Palaniswami was selected as interim General Secretary and gave a verdict. As a result, Edappadi Palaniswami’s party is celebrating by bursting firecrackers and offering sweets. How will the convening of the general assembly proceed without the term of the convenors expiring? OPS supporters have been saying that they will appeal against the verdict once the full details of the verdict are released.
In this case, it has been reported that O. Panneerselvam’s side is going to appeal in the Supreme Court on Monday against the verdict given by two judges of the Madras High Court regarding the AIADMK general committee case. Edappadi Palaniswami is likely to file a caveat petition in the Supreme Court in case of OPS appeal.
