It has been reported that the Election Commission is planning to send a notice to Edappadi Palaniswami and O. Panneerselvam regarding the AIADMK issue. Edappadi Palaniswami was elected as the interim general secretary in the AIADMK General Committee meeting held in Chennai.
A special resolution to remove O. Panneerselvam from AIADMK was also unanimously passed. These results were submitted online to the Election Commission by Edappadi Palaniswami.
At the same time, Panneerselvam’s side appealed to the Election Commission that the Election Commission should not give permission to the decisions of the general body held illegally without the decision of the party coordinator.
The Election Commission, which is considering the petitions of the two, is soon going to issue a notice of inquiry to both of them.
