Erode: BJP state president Annamalai said AIADMK’s victory will help to fix the DMK regime. Annamalai, who campaigned yesterday in Idayankatu Walasu area in support of AIADMK candidate KS Thennarasa in Erode East constituency, said:
Out of 517 promises made by DMK, only 49 have been fulfilled. Voters should ask the campaigning ministers to give Rs.1,000 per month entitlement to a daughter, Rs.100 as cooking gas subsidy, for a total of Rs.24,200 for 22 months. Only if the AIADMK candidate wins this election, the election promises made by the DMK will be fulfilled.
DMK has taken the politics of Tamil Nadu to the period of 1950-60 by locking the voters in this constituency. Nowhere else in India is this injustice taking place. Thirumangalam and Aravakurichi by-elections gave Tamil Nadu a bad name in India.
Currently DMK is doing bad things in Erode East which will give a bad name to the people of this region. The 30 ministers camped here will pay royal respect to the drafters on the 27th. After that they will not be here. However, AIADMK’s candidate Thanarasu, who has won twice, will travel around the same area.
During the last 22 months of DMK rule, law and order has deteriorated and the administration has come to a standstill. An AIADMK victory will help fix the derailing regime. A soldier was beaten to death by a DMK councilor in Krishnagiri. Chief Minister Stalin has not yet opened his mouth about the killing of a soldier defending the country.
If the DMK comes to power, it has been promised that 3.50 lakh people will get government jobs and 10 lakh people will get private employment every year in 5 years. But nothing materialized. Thus he spoke.
